Your privacy is important to us. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as it explains how we collect, use, protect, and otherwise handle your personal information. Additionally, this policy explains your rights regarding your information as well as your choices about how we use your information.
Stratcom Systems, Inc. (“SIMS”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) offers a range of secure information management products and services to organizations of all sizes (our “Customers”). When Customers use any of our products or services, Customers may provide their employees, contractors, agents or other end users (“Authorized Users”) with access.
What personal information SIMS may have access to, collect, process, or disclose varies among our products and services. This Privacy Policy provides information about our privacy practices for all our products and services.
1. SIMS SOFTWARE
Generally, our traditional software solution (“SIMS Software”) features nine fully-integrated modules for Customers who need to streamline operations and run a powerful, paperless industrial security program within a single system. Depending on their organizational needs, Customers may choose to deploy SIMS Software in one of two ways. The traditional method of installation is our Commercial off the Shelf Software (“COTS”) package installed on customer hosted infrastructure. However, we have recently put the same traditional SIMS Software package in a cloud network for those customers who want to take a hands-off approach to managing IT.
What categories of personal information do we collect from our Customers?
When SIMS Software is installed as a COTS product, SIMS does not collect, process, store, or disclose any personal information belonging to Authorized Users. SIMS only collects Customers’ information, and even though Customers may in turn collect Authorized Users’ personal information, SIMS does not generally have access to Authorized Users’ personal information and Customers do not share it with SIMS.
Similarly, in the COTS product, SIMS does not collect, process, store, or disclose any personal information that Customers may collect from their business partners, consumers, data subjects, or other individuals as part of the Customer’s business operations (“Customer Data”).
When Customers choose to use SIMS Software in the SIMS cloud network, SIMS is managing its Customers’ information, and therefore SIMS may have access to Authorized Users’ personal information and Customer Data. (See “What Customer Data do we have access to?” below.)
SIMS may collect the following information pertaining to Customers only:

We do not use any Customer Data that Customers may collect or generate for any reason—whether for internal business purposes, marketing, or otherwise—unless a Customer has directed us to do so or consented to such use by SIMS.
What Customer Data do we have access to?
When Customers choose to use SIMS Software in the SIMS cloud network, SIMS is managing its Customers’ information, and therefore SIMS may have access to Authorized Users’ personal information and Customer Data. However, SIMS does not directly collect this data from individuals and does not use it for any purposes other than to provide services to Customers.

Our vendors and service providers may have access to personal information, however their access is limited only to the extent that is necessary for them to perform their commitments to SIMS.
