SIMS Software recognized by Director Harry Coker at Service for America event, hosted by the ONCD in partnership with OPM

The Office of the National Cyber Director, The White House, in partnership with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), invited SIMS Software to join a public event this week promoting “Service for America”, their new campaign focused on recruiting, hiring and engagement in growing our nation’s cyber workforce. The campaign coincides with National Cybersecurity Awareness Month and was hosted at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, which has established a robust and innovative cybersecurity curriculum in their Department of Information Technology & Supply Chain. The opening keynote featured comments from National Cyber Director, Harry Coker, and OPM’s Acting Director Rob Shriver.

NCD Coker stressed that having a strong cyber workforce is not only a matter of national security but a matter of economic prosperity and technological innovation. The need for collaboration and partnership are critical to our nation’s success in growing our cyber workforce and the government cannot do it alone. SIMS Software was recognized at the event by Director Coker for joining the effort in making a commitment to advance cyber professional career opportunities through our new internship program. OPM’s AD Shriver made a compelling recruitment for public service careers in the USG, including their extensive benefits and vast opportunities for advancement throughout a diverse career path.
