Trina Thayne

Director of Sales Operations

Trina Thayne is responsible for the marketing and sales operations for the organization. She manages the corporate marketing partnerships, event management, corporate brand management, social media and supports sales operations and sales management teams. She’s an accomplished operations professional with 20+ years of proven success in developing, executing, and managing continuous improvement efforts that align resources, improve efficiency, and achieve short-term and long-range business objectives. Trina’s role spans the entire organization ensuring product branding, messaging and training provide an exceptional customer experience.

Prior to joining SIMS Software in 2022, she most recently served as the Director of Operations at San Diego Magazine where she was selected by the new ownership to be the right hand to the Publisher and Chief Content Officer. There she was responsible for the operations of sales, production, graphic design, custom client projects, and audience development. She was responsible for the successful implementation of a new CRM that unified sales, marketing, designers, digital media, accounting and production. She increased revenue opportunities through managing list partnerships and solely managed large custom client contracts that represented a third of the annual revenues.

Throughout her career, she has delivered significant cost-savings and efficiency gains through the implementation of new strategies, systems, and tools to align with industry best practices and achieve increased market share. She’s a member of InfraGard and NCMS (The Society of Industrial Security Professionals).
