Management Team

Sean McMillan leads SIMS Software’s Managed Services and Training Divisions, where he oversees the SIMS custom suite of services and ensures a world-class customer experience. Sean is dedicated to serving as a subject matter expert and resource for clients, ensuring maximum return on investment and alignment with business goals. Additionally, Sean manages SIMS Software’s comprehensive Training Division, composed of public training classes and online training.  Sean is a member of NCMS (The Society of Industrial Security Professionals), ISWG (Industrial Security Working Group), and InfraGard.

Sean has over 20 years of experience in government security, including law enforcement, intelligence, counterintelligence, and industrial security.  Prior to joining SIMS Software, he served as the Corporate Facility Security Officer for a Fortune 200 company.  In this role, Sean spearheaded personnel security, operations security, foreign ownership, and control and influence (FOCI), facility clearances, security awareness and education, and some physical security throughout the world. He also managed all aspects of the company’s international industrial security program.

Sean was previously a Special Agent with the U.S. government, where he inspected government contractors, conducted counterintelligence investigations, adjudicated background investigations and polygraph examinations, and oversaw the agency’s Special Agent Training program. Sean is a graduate of Radford University with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice.
